AVP of Finance and Accounting

Position Overview

Applied Optoelectronics, Inc., located in Sugar Land, Texas (job site), is seeking a full-time Assistant Vice President of Finance and Accounting with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Economics and 2 years related work experience.

• Establishing the financial policies and objectives that support the company’s goals
• Standardizing financial processes and controls
• Managing the operations of the Accounting Department in accordance with GAAP rules
• Directing the preparation of the balance sheet and cash flow forecasts
• Reviewing internal control and operating procedures
• Performing capital investment evaluation, bank financing, and cash management
• Verifying the correctness of intercompany loan, capital investment and transaction balance and calculating unrealized profit or loss of the intercompany transactions
• Developing management reporting and cost center analysis
• Conducting pre-acquisition financial due diligence review
• Performing post-acquisition financial system integration
• Resolving transfer pricing issues

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Economics.

2 years related work experience.
