Principal Accountant (Grants)
The City of Sugar Land is seeking a full‑time Principal Accountant (Grants) in the Finance Department.
As a Principal Accountant, you’ll help ensure the City's financial operations are accurate, reliable, and fully compliant with Federal, State, and local requirements. By staying informed on financial activity across departments, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our accounts and supporting sound financial decision‑making. Formal Education- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Five years of accounting experience are required, including at least three years specifically in grant accounting.
- Municipal experience preferred.
- Tyler Munis and Executime software experience preferred.
