Senior Financial Systems Analyst – Oracle EPM Position Overview

A growing organization is seeking a Senior Financial Systems Analyst with expertise in Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) solutions to support financial planning, reporting, consolidation, and decision‑support processes. This individual will serve as a key liaison between Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams, helping to improve financial visibility, optimize system functionality, and enhance reporting capabilities.

The ideal candidate combines strong accounting and finance knowledge with hands‑on Oracle EPM experience. This role will support ongoing administration, enhancement, and optimization of EPM applications while ensuring accurate, reliable, and timely financial information for business stakeholders and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and enhance financial planning, forecasting, consolidation, close, and reporting processes within the Oracle EPM environment.
  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams to identify business needs and implement scalable system solutions.
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure consistency across financial applications and reporting processes.
  • Develop and improve financial reports, dashboards, and management reporting packages using EPM reporting tools and Smart View.
  • Provide day‑to‑day application support, troubleshooting, user assistance, and training for Finance and Accounting stakeholders.
  • Design, maintain, and optimize metadata structures, business rules, calculations, workflows, and integrations.
  • Support financial close and account reconciliation processes through EPM applications and automation tools.
  • Participate in system upgrades, patch testing, release management, and implementation of new functionality.
  • Assist with governance, security reviews, change management activities, and compliance initiatives.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, training materials, and system support documentation.
  • Work with internal and external technical resources to resolve application issues and improve system performance.
  • Translate business requirements into effective financial systems solutions and support project execution from design through deployment.
Qualifications Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related field required.
  • Advanced degree preferred.
  • CPA, CMA, or related professional certification is a plus.
  • Oracle EPM certifications are highly desirable.
Experience
  • 4+ years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Financial Systems, FP&A, or related disciplines.
  • 3+ years of hands‑on experience supporting Oracle EPM environments.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, consolidation, and close processes.
  • Prior involvement with EPM implementations, upgrades, enhancements, or support initiatives.
  • Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into system solutions.
  • Ability to support user training, testing, documentation, and ongoing application maintenance.
Technical Skills

Experience with one or more Oracle EPM Cloud applications, including:

  • Financial Consolidation and Close (FCCS)
  • Enterprise Planning and Budgeting (EPBCS/PBCS)
  • Account Reconciliation (ARCS)
  • Narrative Reporting
  • Smart View
  • Free Form applications

Preferred experience with:

  • Business rules and calculation scripting
  • Metadata management
  • Enterprise Data Management (EDM)
  • REST APIs
  • EPM Automate
  • Integration processes and automation workflows
Additional Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable interacting with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of internal controls, audit requirements, and SOX‑related processes preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and support continuous improvement initiatives.
