General FunctionThe Person al Banker II position will provide an exceptional customer experience by building and maintaining long‑lasting relationships with existing and prospective customers. The banker will provide solutions that span across the customer's lifecycle by utilizing a consultative sales and service process. Responsibilities include identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks while following bank policies and procedures and ensuring actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities- Create a memorable customer experience by cultivating, maintaining, and enhancing relationships in an assigned book of business through proactive outreach efforts in person, over the phone, or other channels as appropriate.
- Use a consultative approach with current or prospective customers to uncover and identify their needs while tailoring recommendations, solutions, and advice.
- Maintain a working knowledge of products, services, and processes offered.
- Work collaboratively with internal partners to ensure customers' needs are met and all problems are resolved.
- Analyze customer credit data and other related financial information to ensure customers are in appropriate solutions that align with their needs.
- Provide customer support needed to reinforce the value of current and new technology.
- Follow the Bancorp Code of Business Conduct and Ethics and other related policies, modeling the ethical behavior expected of every employee within the Bancorp.
- High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of customer service experience, or a college degree, or equivalent military experience.
- Experience in a sales environment required; experience in the financial industry is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to develop comfort level with new household acquisitions and deepen customer relationships.
- Ability to professionally represent Fifth Third Bank in verbal and written communication.
- Capability to analyze credit and financial information.
- Exhibits strong business acumen.
- Demonstrated ability to make sound decisions.
- This position requires S.A.F.E. Act registration at the time of employment through the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS). The NMLS website (mortgage.nationwidelicensingsystem.org) provides the MU4R questions and registration required for employment.
