Senior Planner – Planning and Development Services Department

Salary: $74,443 - $85,609, depending on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities

Asour Planner, you are responsible for guiding the growth and development of our community to ensure it is safe, functional, and sustainable. This role involves reviewing development proposals, managing zoning and land‑use regulations, and collaborating with city departments, developers, and the public to support responsible planning and community development.

Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning or related field from an accredited school or university. A Master’s Degree in Urban Planning or a related field is preferred.
Experience
  • Four years of work-related experience in Urban Planning at the local level, either in the public or the private sector. Municipal Experience is preferred.
Training (License and/or Certification)
  • Valid Texas Driver License.
  • American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) is preferred.
