Position: EMT-Basic

Salary:

  • $50,280/year - $60,336/year depending on experience

Schedule: 24 ON/48 OFF, 48 ON/96 OFF or Kelly Schedule. Employees can make $80,000+/year by picking up one extra shift every other week. No cap on overtime – 24 hour shifts.

City Ambulance Service is rapidly expanding our operation across many Texas locations. We are currently looking to expand our team of EMT‑Basics here in Grapevine, Texas and surrounding areas. We are seeking experienced, dedicated, and motivated EMTs to provide the advanced level of patient care our patients and partners expect.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Respond to calls for emergency and non‑emergency transports.
  • Assess a patient’s condition and determine a course of treatment per local protocol.
  • Provide first‑aid treatment and/or advanced level life support to patients.
  • Clearly explain procedures to patients, give orders, and relay information to others.
  • Transport patients safely in an ambulance.
  • Transfer patients to the hospital or other healthcare facilities.
  • Report observations and treatment to physicians or other healthcare facility staff.
  • Document medical care given to patients promptly and effectively.
  • Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use.
  • Maintain and clean crew quarters, ambulance, and station locations daily.
Qualifications
  • Ability to sit, bend and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to waist level.
  • Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbal and written English.
  • Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations and job duties.
  • Experience with MICU level transports including IV pump, ventilator, cardiac monitoring.
  • Valid State of Texas EMT‑Basic license required.
  • 2 years experience in emergency medical services preferred.
Expected Gross Earnings
  • $50,280/year - $60,336/year depending on experience.
  • Employees can make $80,000/year by picking up one extra shift every other week.
  • No cap on overtime.
