Job Summary

As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you are responsible for helping the Retail Pharmacists perform daily tasks to serve customers. Your duties include filling and labeling prescriptions, interacting with customers to answer questions or give them their prescriptions, and contacting customers to notify them when their prescription is ready.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Supporting pharmacological services by assembling, stocking, and distributing medications.
  • Maintaining records by recording and filing prescriptions and orders of Physicians.
  • Sorting, stocking, and labeling medications and monitoring inventory.
  • Responding to the requests of patients and healthcare providers, answering their questions and referring various inquiries to the Pharmacist.
  • Complying with rules, regulations, and procedures to help maintain a clean and safe pharmacy, such as by sterilizing equipment and surfaces.
  • Processing prescriptions electronically and ensuring all information is accurate and complete.
  • Generating revenues by recording, calculating, and issuing charges.
  • Undertaking administrative tasks such as record‑keeping as assigned by a Physician or facility manager from time to time.
  • Helping, as needed, the retail pharmacies in Sugar Land and Bedford via our electronic database services.
Requirements
  • Texas State Board of Pharmacy certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
  • Solid understanding of pharmaceutical inventory management practices and techniques.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in inventory tracking and medication compounding.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with pharmacists, healthcare professionals, and patients.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and maintain a high standard of patient care.
  • Problem‑solving aptitude and adaptability.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and inventory management software.
  • Availability to work Thursdays through Sundays required.
  • Availability to work closing shifts based on business needs.
