Overview

Position: Valet Attendant

Location: Memorial Hermann Sugarland

Pay: $14-15 per hour

Shift: Monday - Friday

Responsibilities
  • Mobilize and coordinate beginning-to-end valet process by retrieving keys, retrieving vehicles for waiting guests, loading guest vehicles, and issuing tickets and/or entering customer information using electronic devices
  • Foster customer success, happiness, and retention by building customer rapport, addressing inquiries, and providing directions when needed
  • Act as a fast-moving courteous brand ambassador by interfacing with guests, opening vehicle doors, and assisting with vehicle handling
  • Implement vehicle safety and security procedures to direct traffic, barricade positions, park guest cars, inspect for damage, and report incidents to location leadership
  • Manage end-of-shift revenue by requesting and collecting relevant fees and reconciling revenue as applicable
  • Meet and greet guests upon arrival; assist with unloading as necessary
  • Retrieve keys, issue tickets, and enter customer information accurately
  • Park vehicles in appropriate spaces and ensure safe vehicle operation
  • Inspect vehicles for preexisting damage and record details using available tools
  • Retrieve vehicles promptly for waiting guests and assist with loading luggage when needed
  • Provide excellent customer service, respond to inquiries, and offer directions as required
  • Direct traffic, position barricades, and arrange for towing service when necessary
  • Immediately report incidents or claims to Operations Manager or Shift Lead
  • Request and collect applicable fees for valet services
  • Assist in reconciling end-of-shift revenue with ticket distributions when required
  • Communicate professionally with guests, clients, and teammates
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles (stick shift)
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to verbally communicate with guests
  • Acceptable driving record and motor vehicle report (MVR)
  • Ability to learn quickly and use sound decision making in fast-paced environments
  • Ability to operate guest vehicles with normal coordination
  • Ability to move between valet stand and customer cars for extended periods
  • Previous valet experience preferred
