ROLE SUMMARY

The Director, People Strategy & Organizational Effectiveness will lead the execution of the company’s people strategy across talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, employee engagement, workforce planning, and succession planning, translating the direction set by the EVP of Human Resources into day-to-day programs and measurable results.

The EVP of Human Resources owns enterprise-wide HR strategy, budget, and policy, and serves as the primary HR voice to the executive team and Board. Reporting to the EVP, this leader will operationalize that strategy, partnering with corporate and field leadership to strengthen culture, improve retention, build leadership depth, and align people practices with business priorities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Influence and support development of HR professionals across recruiting, learning and development, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Partner with service center leaders on workforce planning, organizational design, succession planning, employee relations and change management.
  • Partner with Executive Director, Talent Acquisition to build scalable recruiting strategies and talent pipelines for a large, multi-state workforce.
  • Partner with Director, Talent Development to strengthen onboarding, sales training, leadership development, and career-pathing programs.
  • Drive improvements in performance management, employee accountability, engagement, recognition, and retention.
  • Partner with Directors and Field HR to identify the drivers of turnover and implement practical solutions across field and corporate operations.
  • Use people data and analytics to measure results and guide decisions.
  • Partner with Director, Field HR to support consistent employee-relations practices and compliance across multiple states. Own execution and day-to-day management of HR programs and initiatives approved by the EVP of Human Resources; escalat enterprise-wide strategic, budget, and policy decisions to the EVP.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • 5+ years of people-leadership experience.
  • Experience at the director, senior manager, or comparable level.
  • Experience supporting a multi-unit, distributed, field-based, or sales-driven organization.
  • Broad experience across talent acquisition, learning and development, organizational development, performance management, employee engagement, and succession planning.
  • Demonstrated success improving retention, developing leaders, and building scalable people programs.
  • Strong business judgment, communication, analytical, and relationship-building skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree or relevant certification preferred.
  • Willingness to reside in the Houston, Texas area.
  • Experience operating as a direct report to a CHRO, EVP, or other senior HR executive, translating enterprise-wide strategy into functional programs, preferred.
