We are seeking a dynamic Test Configuration System Technician to join our team at our partner. You will join the Test Evaluation Team at our partner, which is responsible for completing tests and validation of the first article Engineering units as well as providing support to multiple departments in the organization. This critical role ensures that our rugged computer solutions meet the rigorous standards required to reliably perform mission-critical operations in harsh environments.
This position is full-time onsite (in-person) at our headquarters in Sugar Land, TX. Please note that some travel may be required.

You have a strong technical background and experience working in hardware engineering and manufacturing organizations.
- Test Execution:
Run automated and manual test scenarios, scripts, and procedures on hardware/software systems. - System Setup & Configuration:
Install OS, BIOS, drivers, and application software; configure network settings and peripheral hardware to create specific testing environments. - Hardware Diagnostics:
Troubleshoot circuit boards, components, and complete system assemblies using diagnostic software or hardware test fixtures. - Data Analysis & Reporting:
Analyze performance data, identify anomalies, and generate detailed reports on test findings, pass/fail rates, and bug descriptions. - Defect Tracking:
Log and track hardware and software defects using bug-tracking systems like JIRA. - Compliance Verification:
Ensure products adhere to industry standards and internal quality specifications. - Troubleshooting & Rework:
Perform root cause analysis on failed units and work with engineers to determine corrective actions.
- Education:
Associate’s degree in computer technology, Electronics, or similar, or equivalent work experience. - Minimum of 2–4 years of relevant experience in a technical field related to computer hardware or systems testing.
- Proficient in Windows/Linux operating systems, BIOS configuration, hardware troubleshooting, and basic scripting (e.g., Python or shell scripts).
- Experience with electronic equipment (PC boards, chips, electronic components).
- Excellent organizational skills and work ethics.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to communicate findings to engineering teams.
- Familiarity with industry standards and certifications relevant to rugged computing and military specifications is desirable.
