Job Summary

Reports to and receives operational direction from the BEO Scaffold and Formwork Field Operations Supervisor. Provides coordination and technical input to Construction, Engineering, Field Procurement, and Logistics related to the deployment, movement, and utilization of temporary works systems (scaffold, formwork, and shoring). Prior scaffold/formwork experience is preferred but not required. The role requires strong materials planning/logistics capability and willingness to learn temporary works systems.

Responsibilities
  • Contributes to material planning activities for a BEO’s scaffold and formwork fleets.
  • Supports development and execution of Temporary Works Deployment Plans by forecasting material demand from construction schedules and planned work fronts and using tonne-month and sq ft-month curves to plan deployment/returns, identify trends, and support resolution of deviations.
  • Coordinates mobilization, distribution, repositioning, and demobilization of scaffold and formwork assets, supporting delivery and trans‑load plans to meet construction priorities and demand.
  • Serves as a liaison between field teams, procurement, vendors, logistics providers, and warehouse personnel to coordinate delivery sequencing, staging/laydown utilization, and delivery location or redirection requirements.
  • Communicates material shortages, delays, and risks proactively and supports problem‑solving and mitigation actions with stakeholders to protect schedule, safety, and productivity.
  • Supports materials governance by adhering to the Material Responsibility Matrix, coordinating and communicating approved deviations, and ensuring material identification supports accurate status reporting and distribution aligned with the priority and sequence of construction activities.
  • Prepares flow charts for scaffold and formwork materials management processes.
  • Monitors and manages temporary works inventory, utilization, stock levels, and location control across laydown areas, fabrication yards, and field work zones; identifies shortages or excess to support timely replenishment, redistribution, or return decisions.
  • Maintains deployment and utilization reports to support planning decisions, material status visibility, and performance tracking.
  • Verifies requisitions and shipping documentation clearly identify required pay items and delivery details to support receiving, storage, and material control prior to distribution to Construction for installation.
  • Coordinates resolution of shipment discrepancies (quantities, damage, incorrect shipments) and documents non‑conforming materials; supports corrective actions including replacement, return, or disposition in accordance with project work processes.
  • Supports field audits and project closeouts by reconciling inventories, tracking returns, and confirming disposition of temporary works materials.
  • Helps identify delivery sequencing for specialized tanks climbing formwork systems and supports planning strategies that consider a project’s willingness or capability to self‑perform pre‑assembly activities.
  • Expedites critical design drawings and data required from suppliers that may affect the timely issuance of other design deliverables, especially shoring or bespoke complex formwork solutions needed by Construction well ahead of material delivery.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Requires a University Hire with 1‑2 years of experience or 5‑6 years of relevant work experience.
Required Knowledge and Skills
  • Working knowledge of the end‑to‑end materials lifecycle (planning -> procurement -> logistics -> warehousing -> field distribution).
  • Working knowledge of construction sequencing, workface planning, and installation practices.
  • Working knowledge of project automation systems and data‑driven reporting tools (e.g., materials tracking, inventory control, dashboards, spreadsheets, and reporting tools).
  • Working knowledge of safe transport and handling requirements and site rules for construction materials, including scaffold and formwork systems.
