Tool Room Position Summary

Responsible for continuous inventory and movement of chemicals in the sample room. This person will be handling chemicals and wearing special PPE as needed.

• Maintain a log or system for tracking the movement and location of tools using the company tooling computer program
• Inspect extension cords and power cords for broken wires, cracked insulation or other damages
• Track tools on a day‑to‑day basis as they are issued
• Submit monthly purchase requisitions for ordering consumables, safety supplies and tools as needed
• Monitor shortages or lost tools

• Ability to multitask and maintain great communication with site management
• Exhibits organizational skills and ability to keep a neat and clean environment
• Experience with computers and basic Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
• Interpersonal skills - ability to speak with internal customers verbally and in writing
• Shipping and receiving experience, highly preferred

• Minimum 2‑year industrial construction/maintenance industry experience (preferred)
• Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word
• General understanding of industrial tools and consumables
• Ability to complete Hazwoper and Forklift Trainings (or already have)
• Ability to wear proper PPE to include steel‑toed boots, remain clean‑shaven and wear FR clothing

Selected candidates must be able to complete the following physical functions including but not limited to climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and other repetitive motions with or without reasonable accommodation.
