Summary We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Optical Coating Shift Engineer to operate optical coating equipment for fabrication of thin film semiconductors Responsibilities include operation maintenance trouble shooting of the coating equipment as well as production line training
Job Duties Responsible for optical coatings based on ion beam assisted sputtering and e beam evaporation Monitor coating deposition and take necessary actions during the run Check daily coating results and fine tune the equipment setting for next run by optimizing process parameters eg Gas flow substrate temperature rate of deposition to achieve desirable properties of films Maintain production coating runs for high quality AR and HR coatings on facets Solve issues eg Leak in chamber dry pump cryo pump maintenance Optical measurements on ellipsometry for various coating characteristics Execute scheduled preventative maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and operational readiness Document and escalate production equipment and quality issues during the shift and report critical issues to management as required Write reports and SOPs Train and support production line
Job Requirements Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering Physics or semiconductor related field specialty in thin film deposition is a plus Experience on ebeam coating and Ion beam sputtering coating Handson optical coating process knowledge Knowledge and hands on skills of high vacuum techniques and equipment Well developed interpersonal and communication skills Excellent analytical organizational planning and problem solving troubleshooting skills Comfortable multi tasking in a fast paced engineering and manufacturing environment Ability lift or move items weighing up to 20 pounds Location This position will be on site based in Sugar Land Texas WHY AOI In addition to competitive salary AOI offers Flexible and competitive health medical dental vision plans offer the employee with the right options to meet individual and family needs Employer matching on 401k deferrals Generous PTO policy with unused PTO payout at end of the year Relocation package available within US Immigration sponsor ships Must be currently authorized to work in the US We do not accept unsolicited proposals from third party recruiters or agencies Contacting hiring managers directly may result in disqualification of submissions
