Process Technician
Temp to Hire Day Shift: 7am - 7pm Night Shift: 7pm - 7am $18 - $24/hr
SummaryThis role will be primarily responsible for helping to keep production line running. This role will assist the equipment and production engineers on the overall equipment maintenance and operation; including equipment repair, changing equipment program settings, installation, modifying parameter, program qualification, and general programming. This role will help the team meet production and quality standards in the most cost-efficient manner.
Job Duties· The qualified technician will train and work directly with the engineering team.
· The qualified technician will be assigned a section to maintain, the section will contain multiple machines.
· The qualified technician will work directly with advance robotics and automated machines.
· The qualified technicians will be responsible for the general maintenance and operation of the equipment and tools in the assigned section.
· Equipment maintenance and operation includes, but not limited to:
- Equipment calibration.
- Check daily equipment startup list before the equipment is operational.
- Minor equipment repairs.
- Equipment program troubleshooting.
- Equipment hardware troubleshooting.
- Process troubleshooting, help find the root cause of a process failure.
- Program new automated equipment.
- Change existing program recipes, update configuration files, or modify program parameters.
- Backup programs.
· Report any process/device issues to respective department manager or supervisor.
· Must be able to write reports and communicate updates to the management and engineering team.
· The qualified technician’s overall goal is to maintain the equipment in good running conditions.
· The qualified technician will be trained on how to perform minor troubleshooting of device failures.
· The qualified technician will assist engineers with experiments.
· Other duties as needed or required by Equipment Manager/Section Head/Head of OMD Production Line Department.
· Possible soldering techniques needed for equipment repairs, device manufacturing, and rework devices.
· Backup for operators when needed.
Qualifications· Required
Education:
High School Diploma or GED
·
Preferred Education:
Vocational Course Graduate or Associate’s Degree
·
Required Experience:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in assembly processes and equipment
- Computer skills to provide daily activities reports
- Use of tools, such as, wrenches, hammers, socket sets, screwdrivers, pliers, vice grips, and pipe wrenches
·
Preferred Experience:
- 3+ years as an Equipment Technician in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in soldering, microscope use, electro-mechanical tools, hand tools, and measurement devices.
- Previous experience with computer languages and/or automated machines.
