Assistant Manager of Production Line (7am-7pm or 7pm-7am)
This role will be primarily responsible for helping keep the production line running smoothly. The Assistant Manager will support the production line manager in overseeing overall daily operations, including work order tracking, ensuring on‑time completion, maintaining high quality, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with the engineering team to ensure efficient operations.
Job Responsibilities- Track the overall status of work orders and ensure they are delivered on time and meet quality standards.
- Organize work‑order schedules and meet delivery deadlines.
- Assist in managing the production line and enforce safety, clean room, and Electro‑Static Discharge regulations, as well as compliance with Standard Operating Procedures.
- Organize manpower and work‑order schedules to improve production line efficiency.
- Support all managerial responsibilities as required.
- Assist the production line manager in supervising operators, technicians, and supervisors.
- Organize employee schedules, approve time sheets, and approve Paid Time Off requests from subordinates.
- Required
Education:
Associate’s degree in technology or business related field. - Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in technology or business related field.
- Required Experience:
- Computer skills for daily activity reports.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently.
- Continual walking, lifting, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, and crouching.
- Willing and able to work in a cleanroom environment around equipment with required protocol and dress code, including full‑body gown and face mask, no perfume, and no make‑up.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs continuously.
- Detail oriented, adaptable to change, good team player, and committed to quality and safety.
On‑site, Sugar Land, Texas.
