Skilled Nursing & Long‑Term Care

Richmond Health Care Center is seeking a compassionate, detail‑oriented Registered Nurse (RN) to join our clinical leadership team. The RN will be responsible for medication administration, supervising CNAs and CMAs, and coordinating admissions and discharges to ensure exceptional resident care and regulatory compliance.

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse is responsible for overseeing daily nursing operations on the assigned unit, administering medications and treatments, supervising nursing support staff, and ensuring smooth admission and discharge processes in accordance with state and federal regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
  • Monitor residents for adverse reactions and effectiveness of medications
  • Ensure accurate documentation in EMR
  • Perform narcotic counts and medication cart audits
Admissions & Discharges
  • Complete admission assessments and documentation
  • Review hospital discharge summaries and physician orders
  • Ensure accurate medication reconciliation
  • Educate residents and families on care plans and medications
Clinical Oversight
  • Conduct resident assessments and respond to changes in condition
  • Communicate with physicians, pharmacy, families, and interdisciplinary team
  • Ensure compliance with CMS regulations and facility policies
  • Participate in care plan meetings as needed
Qualifications
  • Current, active RN license in the state of Texas
  • Previous experience in skilled nursing or long‑term care preferred
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
