Oncology Advanced Practice Provider; APP - Sugarland, Tx

Oncology Advanced Practice Provider supporting Sugar Land, Texas location. Position may be Level I, II, or Senior based on experience. This role provides chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and precision medicine in a patient‑centered environment.

Under supervision or in collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers (APPs) deliver care to individuals, families, and patient groups dealing with cancer or related diagnoses. Care may be provided in clinic or virtually via telemedicine. Responsibilities include prevention, screening, patient care, management, and research activities, and oversight of compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients.
• Initiate and document appropriate interventions; evaluate and record patient/family response and prescribe therapies as indicated.
• Perform procedures after appropriate training.
• Assess patient/family needs and provide education.
• Promote wellness and recommend community resources to meet patient and family needs.
• Incorporate evidence‑based research into clinical practice.
• Develop knowledge of reimbursement procedures and documentation requirements.
• Complete patient charge capture and medical record documentation in a timely fashion.
• Provide case management for patients and families, given knowledge of community resources.
• Promote or provide staff education.
• Rounding at affiliated hospitals and weekend or after‑hour calls as required.
• Other duties as assigned.

Nurse Practitioner

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program and successful completion of a Nurse Practitioner program.
• Level I: 0‑3 years of experience;
  Level II: 3‑6 years;
  Level Senior: 6+ years.
• RN state licensure and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in the practicing state.
• Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Physician Assistant

• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant program and current NCCPA certification.
• Level I: 0‑3 years of experience;
  Level II: 3‑6 years;
  Level Senior: 6+ years.
• Current state license as a Physician Assistant in the practicing state.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye‑hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods and occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs. Corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Reasonable accommodations may be made for disabilities.
