• Assessment:
  Admit and continuously assess patients’ conditions, provide nursing care to meet physical, psychological, and spiritual needs, and notify the doctor of significant changes.
• Planning:
  Design, direct, evaluate, and document the plan of care, patient/family teaching, and transition of care plan to ensure a safe appropriate level of discharge. Work with other clinical disciplines to meet specialized patient care and discharge needs. Formulate a plan of care and daily goals tailored to each patient.
• Implementation:
  Prepare patients physically, psychologically, and spiritually for treatments, surgeries, and diagnostic studies to reduce anxiety. Know patients’ conditions and report significant changes to Charge Nurse/Team Leader and/or physician. Implement patient safety initiatives and protocols including medication safety practices, physician orders, and consult notifications.
• Evaluation:
  Reassess patients at appropriate intervals following interventions, notify physicians as necessary to modify interventions, and adjust nursing care to meet patients’ emerging and changing needs.

  Give and receive reports using Bedside Shift Report with family participation. Provide an accurate and comprehensive report to the oncoming shift to help establish continuity of patient care while receiving the report from the off‑going shift and delegating tasks as needed.
• Environment & Patient Safety:
  Maintain patient and work environment to maximize safety, promptly remove used and soiled equipment and linen to appropriate locations, and incorporate national and organizational goals to improve quality, patient safety, and satisfaction. Report all patient safety and hazard concerns immediately.

• Associate's degree in Nursing
• At least one (1) year of RN experience, upon hire
• Demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meet experience requirements upon hire
• Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire
• Basic Life Support – AHA BLS, within 14 days

• Bachelor’s of Nursing, upon hire
