Quality Inspector

The QA Operator is responsible for inspecting goods to ensure they meet a set of consistent standards. Their duties include performing visual inspections and recording quality issues. The role may involve implementing product testing for quality control, reviewing products for defects and errors.

• Conducts inspection, testing, and/or screening for defects in Optoelectronic components.
• Uses microscopes for further inspection and hand picking of small components using tweezers.
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs into quality database.
• Keeps measurement equipment operating by following SOPs (standard operating procedures).

• Minimum
  
  Education Requirements:
  
  High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Software/Hardware Knowledge:
  Basic computer skills;
  Data Entry is a plus
• Skills/Abilities:
  Ability to use microscope;
  Steady hands;
  Need to be able to handle very small components
• Personal Characteristics:
  Willing and eager to learn, cooperate and follow instructions, pays careful attention to detail
• Understand and communicate in English

This position will be on-site based in Sugar Land, Texas.
