Job Duties
  • Own and manage First Article Inspections, including recording, analyzing, and certifying results and driving process improvements.
  • Own and manage Incoming Inspection, inspecting components before assembly and analyzing trend data.
  • Support investigations, root-cause analyses, and corrective actions for internal and supplier-related quality issues.
  • Conduct analyses related to critical control points, preventive measures, limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and verification procedures.
  • Provide technical support and backup to Quality Control Inspectors.
  • Train production personnel on quality-related processes.
  • Assist with corrective action processes, calibration programs, UL follow-up, ISO 9001 certification work, process and product audits, and other special quality projects.
Education Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • AS degree preferred.
Experience Requirements
  • 5 years of experience related to manufacturing electro-mechanical products.
  • Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, work instructions, or inspection documents.
  • Knowledge of precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and measuring devices.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify defects and document inspection results accurately.
  • Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Working knowledge of standard office software applications.
  • Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous quality inspection, quality assurance, manufacturing, or production experience is preferred.
  • Technical training in manufacturing, quality assurance, or inspection procedures is beneficial.
  • Experience performing first article, in-process, or final product inspections is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards, statistical process control, quality documentation, or corrective action procedures is considered an asset.
  • Individuals who demonstrate accuracy, professionalism, and a commitment to producing high-quality work are well positioned for success as a Quality Assurance Technician.
  • ASQ Certification(s): CMI, CQT, and/or CQA.
  • Experience supporting ISO 9001 certification activities, quality audits, or calibration programs.
Physical Capabilities
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform inspection activities throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift products or materials weighing up to 50 pounds when required.
  • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and inspection equipment with accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain visual focus and attention to detail while inspecting products in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
