Responsibilities
  • Own your territory:
    Develop and manage sales in a residential area
  • Connect with homeowners:
    Knock doors, network, and follow up on referrals
  • Track your wins:
    Monitor sales activities and hit performance goals
  • Close the deal:
    Present solar solutions, explain financing, and guide customers through the process
  • Educate & inspire:
    Help homeowners understand the benefits of going solar—cost savings, clean energy, and energy independence
  • Grow with Sunrun:
    Attend weekly training meetings to sharpen skills, boost earnings, and unlock career growth opportunities
Qualifications
  • Must be 18+ years old
  • Experience in direct or commission-based sales preferred
  • Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends
  • Comfortable working outdoors and walking for extended periods in various weather conditions
Additional Information

Applicants must hold a valid California Home Improvement Salesperson (HIS) License. If selected but the candidate does not yet possess this license, they will be hired initially as a Sales Scheduler (paid at minimum wage and capped at 35 hours/week). Upon obtaining the HIS license, the employee will transition into the Solar Sales Direct Seller role, which is 100% commission-based.

Compensation ranges: average $60,000–$100,000 (location and personal success dependent); top performers can earn $205,020+ per year. California average for the first 12 months is $60,000–$90,000 (personal success dependent).
