- Develop and implement strategic and tactical sales plans aligned with customer business plans to deliver growth in targeted areas.
- Ensure sales campaigns and strategies are consistent with the overall objectives for the company.
- Proactively identify and engage new potential strategic customers.
- Build relationships with key customers at both corporate and regional offices.
- Perform standard portfolio management practices to understand customer needs.
- Apply or lead the application of innovative ideas and technologies to create a business or organizational advantage.
- Manage customer contracts to maximize profitability while monitoring and evaluating programs and expenditures.
- Travel on the job 50% of the time.
- Have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent.
- Have 10+ years’ experience in refining, midstream, or upstream chemical sales.
- Have proven track record of delivering top and bottom-line growth.
- Have comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and market conditions.
- Have comprehensive understanding of company products/applications and services.
- Have excellent business acumen.
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Have commitment to customer service and ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
- Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in a Sciences or Engineering field.
- Have 15+ years’ experience in refining, midstream, or upstream chemical sales.
- Have 5+ years of corporate sales experience at the C‑suite level.
- Have commercial negotiations experience with large corporate contracts in the downstream or midstream markets.
