About the Role:

As an Environmental Scientist within the Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services industry, you will play a critical role in assessing and mitigating environmental impacts associated with various projects and developments. Your work will focus on conducting thorough environmental site assessments, analyzing groundwater and soil samples, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations such as the Clean Water Act. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop strategies that protect natural resources and promote sustainable practices.

The role demands a strong understanding of environmental science principles and the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for clients and regulatory agencies. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to safeguarding environmental quality and public health across diverse geographic locations within the United States.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
  • Proven experience in environmental consulting or a similar role involving site assessments and environmental data analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, including the Clean Water Act and related federal and state laws.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct soil sampling, groundwater monitoring, and water quality testing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing technical reports and interacting with stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certifications such as Certified Environmental Scientist (CES) or Registered Environmental Manager (REM).
  • Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and environmental modeling software.
  • Familiarity with environmental impact assessment methodologies and sustainability frameworks.
  • Prior experience working on multidisciplinary teams within consulting or governmental agencies.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive environmental site assessments to evaluate potential contamination and ecological risks.
  • Collect and analyze groundwater, soil, and water quality samples to determine environmental conditions and compliance status.
  • Prepare detailed reports and documentation to support regulatory submissions and client decision-making processes.
  • Advise clients on environmental regulations, including the Clean Water Act, and recommend best practices for environmental management.
  • Collaborate with engineers, planners, and regulatory bodies to design and implement environmental impact assessments and remediation plans.

Skills:

In this role, your expertise in environmental consulting will guide the evaluation and management of environmental risks on client projects. Environmental awareness is essential for identifying potential impacts and ensuring compliance with regulations such as the Clean Water Act. You will apply technical skills in environmental site assessments, groundwater analysis, and soil sampling to collect and interpret data critical for decision-making.

Your knowledge of water quality standards and environmental impact assessment processes will support the development of effective mitigation strategies.
