Post Doctoral Fellow - CYBER-CARE

Department: INFO SCI TECHNOLOGY
Salary: Commensurate with Experience/Education

Possesses, understands, and applies comprehensive knowledge in area of specialization. Develops understanding and skills to allow for completion of assignments that cross fields of specialization. Develops leadership and management skills.

• Receives/Reviews progress and evaluates results of experiments or projects under control or supervisory responsibility.
• Recommends changes in research, testing or experimental procedures.
• May be responsible for a single highly technical and complex piece of research equipment.
• May review and evaluate the effectiveness of personnel.
• May plan for and assign personnel to projects under control.
• Operates with latitude for unreviewed action.
• May receive general supervision conferring with higher levels only in unusual situations.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.

Prospective candidates are required to have a doctoral degree in Transportation Engineering, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Statistics, Urban Planning, or a related field. The successful candidates will contribute to multiple research projects in the following areas:
Connected and Automated Vehicle (CAV) Cybersecurity, AI Applications and Transportation Data Security, Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) Cybersecurity, and Next-Generation Transportation Cybersecurity System.

Research Associate level appointments are expected to have a minimum of two years of postdoctoral experience. Other preferred qualifications include experience in proposal writing, strong programming or data analysis skills, and excellent academic writing and presentation skills.

Position is based in UH Sugar Land
