Maintenance Technician

Overview

ABM Industries is seeking General Maintenance Technicians to join our team. The General Maintenance Technician is responsible for assisting with general repairs and inspections involving basic electrical, mechanical and plumbing in a commercial building located in Charlotte, NC.

• Run wire, replace fuses, install outlets, switches and fixtures.
• Perform basic plumbing maintenance: run a snake, cut PVC pipe, patch drywall, and painting as needed.
• Perform basic HVAC maintenance: replace filters, thermostats, inspect fans, and ensure proper operation of equipment and systems in the building.
• Adequately fill out work orders and preventive maintenance documentation.

You will report to a lead maintenance technician and receive guidance on daily maintenance activities around the building.

This is a great opportunity for someone with all-around maintenance experience, handyman experience or even apprentice building engineers looking to get into the workforce, with potential for growth and development.

This opportunity requires no travel outside of the job site.

a commercial building located in Charlotte, NC. Job details:
Full-time, 1st shift: 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid, unexpired driver's license.
• 1-2 years of general maintenance experience is preferred or formal education/background related to the field.
