Licensed Journeyman Electrician Commercial Projects

STAR is actively hiring Licensed Journeyman Electricians for multiple commercial projects across the Houston area. We partner with top electrical contractors in Texas to provide long‑term, full‑time opportunities for experienced professionals ready to lead, mentor, and deliver high‑quality work on complex job sites.

Requirements- Active Journeyman Electrician License (TDLR Texas)
- Minimum 4+ years of commercial electrical experience
- Strong ability to work independently and lead small crews when needed
- Extensive experience in EMT conduit installation and layout
- Proficient in rough‑in, trim‑out, and final phase work
- Solid understanding of NEC codes and commercial job site safety
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and specifications
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to work full‑time with overtime as needed
- Advanced EMT conduit bending (offsets, saddles, kicks, parallel runs, rack systems)
- Job site layout and planning from prints and specs
- Panel installation, terminations, and troubleshooting
- Installation of switch gear, lighting systems, and commercial devices
- Running conduit systems: EMT, RMC, PVC, and MC cable
- Leading conduit runs and ensuring clean, code‑compliant installs
- Mentoring and guiding apprentices on best practices and safety
- Coordinating with foremen, project managers, and other trades
- Experience with gear work and service installations
- Knowledge of load calculations and circuit distribution
- Ability to identify and resolve electrical issues efficiently
- Familiarity with BIM or digital plans (plus, not required)
- OSHA certification (preferred)
