Maintenance Technician

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the daily operation, monitoring, inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of facility and utility systems that support manufacturing operations. This role ensures the safe, reliable, and continuous operation of cleanroom environments and critical production-support systems through routine inspections, preventive maintenance, rapid response to system alarms, emergency support, and day-to-day operational activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor facility systems using Building Automation Systems, electronic manufacturing services, and local controls.
  • Operate cleanroom utilities including HVAC, chilled/process water, CDA, nitrogen, vacuum, electrical, and water/wastewater systems.
  • Track system performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
  • Perform routine adjustments and first-level troubleshooting.
  • Assist with repairs, shutdowns, startups, and equipment commissioning.
  • Escalate major issues to Facilities Engineers or management.
  • Follow safety, LOTO, cleanroom, and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate logs, records, and shift handoff communication.
  • Support environmental, safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance reliability and efficiency.

Essential

Skills:

  • 4+ years in facilities, maintenance, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical, electrical, HVAC (EPA), and utility systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and equipment manuals.
  • Experience using maintenance tools and basic computer systems.
  • Familiarity with CMMS/Building Automation Systems (BAS).

Additional Skills &

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience in semiconductor, cleanroom, or high-tech manufacturing.
  • Experience with HVAC, chillers, air compressors, vacuum, gas, or utility systems.
  • Knowledge of building automation and control systems.

Work Environment:

Work from Monday through Friday, 9 am to 5:30 pm, in a dynamic and challenging environment. Be prepared for exposure to extreme heat and elevated work areas. Support a 24/7 manufacturing operation and be available for off-hour emergency calls, as well as weekends, holidays, or rotating shifts. Work comfortably in cleanroom environments and around industrial equipment, while wearing necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and being able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Work may involve mechanical spaces, rooftops, and utility areas.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $17.50/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
