Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Field/Service Technician, Installation Technician
Job Title
Install, assembly, configure, and commission Diffusion semiconductor processing equipment
Perform equipment modifications, upgrades, and system integrations as required
Conduct equipment checkout, calibration, testing, and validation to ensure operational readiness
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues to minimize downtime
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on semiconductor manufacturing equipment
Support customer sites with equipment startups, repairs, and technical service activities
Maintain accurate service documentation, installation records, and maintenance reports
Follow all safety, quality, and cleanroom protocols during installation and service activities
Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams to resolve technical issues
Stay current on equipment specifications, procedures, and technical updates through ongoing training
Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Technical experience with semiconductor equipment, electronics, electromechanical systems, or industrial machinery
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and procedures
Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Excellent customer-facing communication and professionalism
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to travel and support customer installations and service activities
Ability to work in cleanroom and physically demanding environments
Military technical experience or prior field service experience is a plus
High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical training or associate degree preferred
Commitment to safety, quality, and maintaining customer site access credentials and conduct standards
May be required to walk up to 5+miles per day, able to be on feet for 8-10 hrs at a time, able to bend, twist, push/pull, crouch, kneel in confined spaces, work at heights, on a ladder, and lift up to 50-75 pounds
