Job Summary
The Equipment Services Logistics Specialist will be responsible for planning and supporting vessel offloading, barge loading and offloading on multiple LNG projects, supporting the procurement organization on multiple projects, and the Bechtel Equipment Operations (BEO) Equipment Services group.
Major Responsibilities- Coordinates domestic, international multi‑leg and complex specialized shipment responsibilities in support of receipt of major equipment delivery at multiple domestic port of arrivals to support project requirements and ensure the safe, timely, and economical delivery of goods to meet project requirements.
- Assists project procurement/logistics team in identifying transport requirements and supporting materials for receipt of major mechanical equipment discharged directly to barge or to shore for temporary storage.
- Works with project T&L representatives to coordinate stevedoring requirements and schedule for discharge of equipment from vessels to BEO Heavy Haul (SPMT) equipment.
- Must work with shipping vessel, port personnel, BEO Naval Architect and BEO Transport Engineer to coordinate discharge sequence of cargo for planning of barge stowage layout.
- Demonstrates understanding in administering contract terms and conditions, rates, schedule, scope, invoice processing.
- Performs supervision duties to support the overall BEO Heavy Haul program as needed including direct supervision of Professional Craft personnel.
- Support BEO functional initiatives as required.
- Assists with preparation of logistics studies.
- Integrates safety requirements and measures in all Logistics activities.
Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 10-13 years of relevant experience or 14-17 years of relevant work experience.

- Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
- Understanding of Logistics service provider pricing, services, and terms and conditions.
- Understanding of Cargo insurance requirements and understanding of rate structure.
- Understanding of Domestic and International packing, marking, and shipping requirements.
- Importing and exporting formalities and processes.
- Experience in pricing, contract and maritime law, negotiations and accounting helpful.
- Experience in reviewing lifting plans.
- Ability to understand vessel stowage drawing/plans.
