Summary
The Receiving Supervisor oversees the accurate, timely receipt and put‑away of materials while leading daily receiving operations in accordance with standard operating procedures and departmental guidelines. This role is responsible for ensuring receiving targets are met, processes run efficiently, and shipment issues are resolved promptly to support production and internal customers.
Job Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily receiving operations to ensure materials are received, verified, and put away accurately and on time.
- Verify incoming shipments against documentation and resolve discrepancies as needed.
- Ensure all receiving transactions and shipment records are accurately and timely recorded in SAP, MES, and GR files within the department shared folder.
- Independently resolve shipment‑related issues or communicate with carriers, shippers, and internal teams as required.
- Oversee lab coat inventory management, including replacement tracking and in/out barcode scanning.
- Manage replenishment of daily lab supplies to support operational needs.
- Provide guidance, training, and daily support to receiving staff to achieve department goals and performance targets.
- Monitor compliance with safety procedures and report incidents immediately to management.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned to ensure department objectives and operational targets are achieved.
- Minimum of Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
- Prior warehouse, receiving, inventory, or logistics experience required; supervisory or lead experience preferred.
- Proficient in basic computer operations and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Experience with stocking, loading, shipping, and receiving processes preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving, time‑management, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt to change in a fast‑paced environment and support cross‑functional collaboration.
- Ability to load/unload pallets from trucks and deliver materials to other AOI building sites.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred;
Mandarin Chinese a plus.
- Considerable physical activity, including handling materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Flexibility to meet customer demands and production needs.
- Willingness to work overtime during weekdays and some weekends as required.
- OSHA‑approved Forklift Certification is a plus.
