Pay:$22-$23/hr
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Warehouse Safety Lead to spearhead our new initiative in this facility’s safety culture. You will act as the primary safety lead for this warehouse location. You will conduct a 10-15 minute weekly safety meeting. In addition, you will head a monthly safety committee meeting that will include personnel from both the warehouse and office staff.
Due to recent growth of the company, we have initiated a new proactive safety program. This new initiative is company wide that includes every facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily walkthroughs to identify and correct potential hazards.
- Facilitate weekly safety meetings for both shifts and conduct monthly Safety Committee Meetings.
- Ensure all OSHA regulations and guidelines and company policies and standards are always followed.
- Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementations.
- Oversee pre/post-shift inspections for all material handling equipment.
- Provide guidance on safe equipment operation and facility housekeeping.
- Will assist operations on down time.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED required; associate's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of warehouse experience with an emphasis on safety protocols.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety and dock operations.
- Excellent verbal communication skills to enforce safety policies firmly but fairly.
- Are available after 90 days from start date.
