Training Coordinator

ASRC Federal Data Networks Corporation (DNC) is seeking a Training Coordinator for a position supporting the NOAA Office of Space Commerce, Space Operations Division, TraCSS Operations Branch in Suitland MD. The Training Coordinator will be responsible for developing, delivering, updating and documenting the training procedures and processes for the operations team.

Responsibilities:

  • Works with the TraCSS Operations and Systems Engineering leads to establish the cadence of training and certifications
  • Develops training necessary to onboard new personnel and refresher training.
  • Coordinates with the relevant DoD communities to leverage existing training materials, where applicable to establish the TraCSS training curriculum.
  • Designs, schedules, delivers and tracks technical training.
  • Establishes training and education modules and ensure consistency in the delivery of technical training and on-boarding.
  • Provides train-the-trainer program and qualifies all area trainers for content delivery.
  • Partners with the functional area, develops training materials, and knowledge assessments, for area standard operation procedures (SOP) and coordinates knowledge assessment.
  • Utilizes training authoring and multimedia tools and software for assigned development projects.
  • Keeps abreast of training and development research, learning theory, motivation theory, and new materials, methods, and techniques.
  • Schedules training meetings and maintains task tracking spreadsheets or other project management tools.
  • Support the staff with processing/coordinating documents to achieve accurate and timely outcomes.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience as a training coordinator.
  • Ability to work independently, problem solve, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Use of Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence, Bitbucket and other Atlassian platform tools.
  • Advanced use of Google Workspace and Microsoft tools;
    Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Access.

Highly Desired

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in support of a U.S. government institution.
  • Current DoD, DOC, NOAA, or NASA authorization to work (badge).
  • Knowledge of space domain awareness, space situational awareness (SSA), space traffic coordination (STC), or space traffic management (STM) related topics.
    • Examples of desired knowledge and skill sets may include, but are not limited to: orbital mechanics, astrodynamics, common analytical methodologies utilized in SSA/STC/STM, satellite operations, conjunction analysis, and data management.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

  • Work in a typical onsite government office building full time (5-days per week) with situational telework approved as needed.
  • Occasional deadlines or operational conditions may require non-standard/longer hours or additional onsite support.
  • Infrequent travel required.
  • Place of performance will be the NOAA Satellite Operations Facility located on the Suitland Federal Center in Suitland MD.
