We are seeking a Network Engineer for an opportunity that is onsite in Suitland, Maryland. All applicants must have an active Public Trust.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Be able to upgrade and configure layer 3 Cisco network equipment
• Provide peer review for all significant network changes
• Extensive knowledge setting up VLAN switching and routing
• Experience with Orion Solarwinds, HP Openview, or Cisco Works network monitoring software
• Experience configuring firewalls
• Testing and termination of copper and fiber cabling
• Ensure current and accurate Enterprise level documentation
• Provide network metrics reflecting compliance with SLA's
• Mentor and coach lower level network engineers through complex tasks
• Familiar with Visio to create network diagrams
• Ability to use Microsoft Office suite to create network documentation

Primary

Skills Required:

• At least ten (10) years of network engineering experience.
• Experience working within the development and operations organizations to support the design and deployment of network infrastructure.
• Possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university with 9 years of overall related experience or 13 years without a degree
• Possession of a Cisco CCNA or CCNP within the networking field
• Able to configure and manage DHCP servers
• Able to configure and manage DNS
• Solar Winds Network Monitor setup and maintenance
• A Public Trust Clearance is required
• U.S. Citizenship required
