NIKSUN Full Packet Capture Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Suitland, MD
Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI
Leidos is seeking a NIKSUN Full Packet Capture Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and operate NAVINTEL's full packet capture systems used for network forensics, threat hunting, and incident response to support our customer in Suitland, MD
.
- Deploy and sustain NIKSUN appliances, capture policies, retention settings, and analysis workflows.
- Monitor appliance performance, storage, network interfaces, and capture integrity.
- Provide packet analysis, incident support, tuning, and system documentation.
- Support integration with SIEM, analytics platforms, and forensic operations.
- BA/BS in CS, IT, IA or related area with 8+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Active TS/SCI security clearance.
- Extensive experience with cyber infrastructure or security tool engineering.
- Demonstrated experience supporting Computer Network Defense (CND) operations and technologies.
- Professional experience designing, developing, integrating, implementing, operating, and analyzing cybersecurity technologies.
- Experience with NIKSUN or similar packet capture technologies.
- Strong network engineering background (routing, switching, IDS/IPS).
- Active IAT or IAM Level II/III DoD approved 8570 baseline certification, such as Security+ CE or CASP certification.
