Job Summary

Senpai is seeking a skilled and experienced VTC Engineer (Level
3) to join our dynamic team to support a DoD client in Suitland, MD. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in video telecommunications engineering, project management, and digital A/V systems. This role requires an individual who is comfortable in high-visibility, customer-facing environments and has a proven track record of managing VTC infrastructure life cycles.

Responsibilities
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert for AV/VTC systems, offering guidance on best practices and emerging technologies to team members.
  • Team Leadership: Responsible for leading a team of technicians and engineers to install, maintain, and troubleshoot a wide variety of VTC equipment, including cameras, microphones, video displays, speakers, audio mixers, DVD players, video matrix switches, wires, and cables.
  • Project Management: Conduct site surveys to design and install A/V systems based on customer requirements; conduct routine operational tests and fault isolation on AV/VTC systems and equipment; perform regular preventative maintenance inspections.
  • User Training: Empower users with knowledge and training on control, interfaces, and use of the audio/visual and VTC equipment.
  • System Improvement: Develop plans for re-engineering and replacing legacy systems to improve customer productivity, enhance maintainability, and reduce costs.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
  • Experience: 8-10 years of comprehensive experience with VTC A/V systems. Alternatively, 12+ years of experience with at least 3 years as a lead. At least 5 years of project management experience.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Familiarity with "AMX" series equipment, including the ability to configure and program. Understanding of the Department of Defense (DoD) and Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) VTC system requirements.
  • Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret clearance with SCI (Sensitive Compartmented Information) eligibility.
  • Customer Interaction: Must be comfortable in high visibility and customer-facing environments; demonstrate strong communications and multitasking skills; provide excellent customer service.
  • Travel: Ability to travel within the National Capital Region (NCR) in support of UC operations.
  • Physical Requirements: Must be physically able to lift 50lbs, crawl, and walk long distances.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Visio and Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Outlook).
  • Certifications: Security+ CE; CTS, CTS‑D, and/or CTS‑I; CAPM.

Pay Range

The proposed salary range for this position is: $70,800 - $148,600
