As a Data Product & Quality Specialist at AFS, you will act as the primary quality and testing authority for data products, bridging the gap between the engineering team and data consumers.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute test plans for data pipelines, APIs, and data products to verify accuracy, completeness, and adherence to requirements.
- Perform functional testing from a consumer's perspective, validating that data is discoverable in the ACDC catalog, accessible via the APIs, and matches the documented metadata.
- Serve as a member of the "Enabling Team," acting as a data mesh advocate who supports the adoption of the DME by helping consumers find, understand, and use data products.
- Create and maintain user-facing documentation, tutorials, and "getting started" guides for data consumers.
- Gather feedback from early adopters and mission partners to create a feedback loop that drives continuous improvement for the data products and the platform itself.
- User-level experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman), data catalog interfaces (ACDC), and data validation techniques.
- Experience with Python scripting
- Familiarity with SQL
- Experience in data quality assurance, software testing, and writing technical documentation.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively translate consumer needs into technical feedback for the development team.
- A strong analytical mindset with the ability to understand data from both a technical and a mission-user perspective.
- An active Secret clearance is required
As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
