The Opportunity
Ca C I is seeking a skilled and experienced Network Engineer (Level
3) to join our dynamic team to support a DoD client in Suitland, MD. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, optimizing, and managing complex Department of Defense communication systems and networks. This role requires advanced knowledge of routing, switching, and network security protocols, as well as expertise in CISCO Routers and Switches.
- Network Design and Optimization: Design, implement, and optimize complex network architectures to meet organizational needs.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Network Management: Manage large-scale networks, ensuring high availability, performance, and security. Monitor network performance and implement improvements as necessary.
- Advanced Configuration and Troubleshooting: Configure and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols such as OSPF. Manage and maintain crypto devices within the network infrastructure.
- Security and Compliance: Ensure network security compliance with DoD standards and regulations. Implement and maintain network security protocols and practices.
- Collaboration and Support: Work closely with other IT teams to resolve network-related issues. Provide Level 3 support for network incidents and outages.
- BS or BA degree in Engineering, an Engineering Discipline, or in a Technical Discipline is desired.
- At least seven (7) years of practical engineering and design experience in DoD communication systems and networks.
- Expertise in designing and optimizing complex networks.
- Advanced knowledge of routing, switching, and network security protocols.
- Proficiency in CISCO Routers and Switches.
- Ability to configure and troubleshoot advanced routing protocols like OSPF.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Security+ certification.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP).
- TS/SCI Clearance.
