Maintenance Technician - HVAC Specialist at Legacy Residential Suitland, MD

Legacy Residential is currently seeking a full-time Maintenance Technician specializing in HVAC for a multifamily apartment community in Suitland, MD.

• Diagnoses, performs, inspects, delegates and monitors property-wide maintenance and repair items timely and effectively
• Order maintenance supplies, adhere to budget and communicate all variances
• Maintain all required logs
• Develop and execute preventative maintenance program
• Schedule and complete unit turns
• Coordinate unit renovations including ordering supplies, scheduling and supervising vendors
• Maintain strong rapport with residents while delivering a high quality of customer service
• Being on call
• Must have own tools

• Valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance is required; individuals must furnish their own reliable transportation.
• HVAC certification required; plumbing and electrical certifications preferred.
• Five to seven years experience in repairing HVAC and heat pumps required.
• EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for refrigerant recycling.

• Communicates clearly to residents and responds to resident service requests and concerns in a timely, professional manner.
• Reads and/or listens to resident requests/complaints in a calm, supportive, and open manner.
• Demonstrates a clean and neat personal appearance.
• Treats residents, coworkers, supervisors, and vendors with respect; answers questions in a calm and open manner, responds sensitively to concerns or complaints about maintenance services, and exhibits a sense of urgency with assigned work orders.
