St. Anthony School is seeking a dedicated, faith-filled, and knowledgeable Middle School Teacher to provide instruction in English Language Arts (ELA) and Social Studies for students in grades 5–8. The successful candidate will inspire academic excellence, foster critical thinking and effective communication skills, and cultivate a lifelong love of learning while supporting the mission, values, and Catholic identity of the school community.
Job Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-based instruction aligned with Archdiocesan curriculum guidelines and school expectations for grades 5–8 English Language Arts and Social Studies.
- Teach and reinforce reading comprehension, literature analysis, grammar, writing, vocabulary development, research skills, and historical and social studies concepts.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of students.
- Utilize formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student achievement, attendance, and classroom performance.
- Communicate regularly and effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom expectations.
- Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and respectful classroom environment that supports student learning and growth.
- Integrate instructional technology to enhance engagement and learning outcomes.
- Collaborate with faculty, staff, and administration to support school goals, initiatives, and student success.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-sponsored events and activities.
- Support the spiritual, moral, and character development of students in accordance with Catholic teachings and values.
- Maintain classroom discipline consistent with school policies and procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Education, English, History, Social Studies, or a related field required.
- Valid teaching certification or ability to obtain certification as required by the Archdiocese and state regulations.
- Experience teaching middle school students preferred.
- Strong knowledge of English Language Arts and Social Studies content and instructional best practices.
- Excellent classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering a faith-centered learning environment and supporting the mission of Catholic education.
