- Evening/Night Schedule - start time 2PM
- Weekend rotation occasionally to cover PTO; rotating holidays.

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is a designated critical access hospital committed to providing quality health care service to residents in Crawford, Franklin and Washington counties.
The hospital has enhanced and expanded the health care services available to the greater Sullivan community with its state-of-the-art emergency department, modern childbirth center, critical care unit, multiroom surgical suite, expanded cardiac rehab services, and a cancer center. A 22,500 square-foot medical office building provides offices for primary care physicians as well as space for a variety of visiting medical and surgical specialists from the St.
Louis area.
Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital operates four rural health clinics providing quality health care to surrounding communities. In addition, the hospital operates a comprehensive Therapy and Rehabilitation department and an award-winning Wound Care Center with two hyperbaric chambers.
Our full-service CAP certified laboratory is open 24/7. The lab performs a variety of tests including basic and comprehensive profiles, lipid panels, complete blood count, coagulation studies and therapeutic drug testing. The lab also provides blood bank services and features an outpatient drawing room.
Preferred QualificationsRole Purpose
The Medical Lab Technician (MLT) II (REG) performs specimen processing and routine/complex testing on blood and other specimens which requires a knowledge and understanding of quality control, basic instrument maintenance, and procedure methodologies and reference ranges. Maintains appropriate documentation of all activities as required. Demonstrates good laboratory practice.
Responsibilities- Reports and maintains record of patient test results through the laboratory computer system accurately, meeting published turn around times for routine testing and stats.
- Documents patient test management problems/concerns on quality documents and initiates corrective action.
- Performs quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary. Monitors quality control performance and corrects any problems and or reports any problems to the appropriate department.
- Operates all instrumentation in assigned areas to deliver precise, timely, and accurate laboratory results. Performs laboratory procedures for specimen collection, processing, test analysis.
- Trains new personnel in methods, procedures and use of equipment and instruments specific to the assigned area.
Education
- Associate's Degree in Physical/Life Science/related
