Assists the Value Stream/Production Manager in developing and leading value stream continuous improvement to drive a Lean Operating System. Responsible for planning, directing and monitoring shift production. Controls quality levels, production quantities and manufacturing costs. Current
Shifts:
6am-2:30pm; 2pm-10:30pm; 10pm-6:30am
- Conduct STOP audits; participate in safety and housekeeping inspections, tracking daily production goals, accident reports, if needed, and production summaries.
- Ability to assign production employees to job and work stations, establish daily production goals, conduct production line orientation including introduction, safety and evacuation routes.
- Train production employees for various production jobs with documentation.
- Help develop employee LEAN skills through effective coaching, teaching and mentoring.
- Help develop/execute value stream improvement plans.
- Facilitate team activities as needed.
- Perform various projects in support of LEAN initiatives.
- Perform LEAN audits and place corrective measures in place if audit does not pass.
- Train and assist subordinates in the 5-why process to drive continuous improvement.
- Supports 6S audits every shift and enforce sustainment with subordinates.
- Complete employee evaluations in a timely manner with consistency and measurable goals for all employees.
- Do shift walkthroughs with incoming and outgoing Production Leaders from the other shifts, reviewing visuals at each location and taking action, if necessary.
- Drive continuous improvement throughout all facets of the Value Stream.
- Perform random quality checks and assure all employees are properly trained in regards to Quality Control.
- Take on a Strategy Deployment opportunity yearly and lead improvement in the identified opportunity.
- Increased throughput driven by continuous improvement, with focus on Safety, and first time Quality performance.
- Regular attendance per handbook policy.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.
- Proficient in Vorne Board Data and use data to drive improvement.
- Participate in one RIE per year for Continuous Improvement.
- Responsible for providing training for all reporting subordinates.
- Monitor time and approve weekly work hours.
