Med Surg RN Nights

This position involves providing direct patient care in a Critical Access Medical Surgical unit with a focus on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care. The role emphasizes patient and family-centered care, safety, quality, and regulatory compliance. Nurses develop individualized care plans, educate patients, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure effective communication across the continuum of care.

• Promote healing environment and educate patients/families on managing their health and medications.
• Participate in safety initiatives, quality improvement, and professional development.
• Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and cultural factors.
• Develop and document care plans with clear goals, ensuring communication across care teams.

• Education:
  
  Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree (Bachelor's preferred).
• Licenses:
  Current RN licensure.
• Experience:
  
  No experience required; less than 2 years preferred.
• Skills:
  
  Critical nursing skills, safety awareness, patient education, collaboration.

• Full-time night shifts with rotating weekends.
• Average patient census less than 18, with a 5:1 patient-to-nurse ratio.
