Description/Notes: Provide leadership and support for curriculum, instruction, assessment, and accountability programs to improve student achievement at the secondary level. Coordinate all district assessment programs, support teachers and administrators through instructional coaching and professional development, and ensure compliance with state and federal accountability requirements.
Qualifications: Valid Texas teaching certificate;
Master’s degree preferred;
Minimum of three years successful classroom teaching experience;
Knowledge of curriculum development, instructional best practices, assessment, and educational accountability;
Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Major Responsibilities: Support teachers through instructional coaching, modeling, and professional development. Collaborate with campus and district leadership to improve instructional effectiveness and student achievement. Coordinate and oversee all state and local assessment programs, including STAAR, EOC, TELPAS, and other required assessments. Ensure compliance with all testing security, administration, and reporting requirements established by the Texas Education Agency. Manage district accountability initiatives, including data analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement efforts.
Coordinate implementation and monitoring of HB 1416, HB 4545, Teachers Incentive Allotment (TIA), and other state programs as assigned. Assist with curriculum development, instructional materials adoption, and TEKS alignment. Analyze assessment data and provide reports to administrators and teachers to support instructional decision-making. Coordinate district instructional and assessment software platforms related to curriculum, testing, and accountability. Assist with campus and district improvement planning.
Stay current on TEA rules, regulations, and best practices related to curriculum, assessment, and accountability. Perform other duties as assigned by the Superintendent.
Reports To: Secondary Principal & Superintendent
Salary Range: Teacher pay scale plus stipends for:
Facilitator, District Testing Coordinator, and District Accountability Coordinator.
