Material Handler / Order Picker
Liberty Trailers is a leading manufacturer of high-quality trailers, committed to innovation, excellence, and customer satisfaction. We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused Material Handler / Order Picker to support our warehouse and production teams by ensuring materials are delivered accurately and efficiently throughout the facility.
Primary Responsibilities- Safely operate a forklift to transport raw materials, parts, and finished products throughout the warehouse and production areas.
- Deliver materials to designated departments in a timely manner to support production.
- Pick, sort, and stage materials according to work orders while ensuring accuracy.
- Ensure materials are stored in the correct warehouse locations and maintain accurate inventory organization.
- Load and unload materials from the floor, racks, and parts trains.
- Perform daily pre-operational inspections and safety checks on forklifts and report any issues immediately.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with monthly physical inventory counts.
- Verify material quantities and maintain accurate inventory counts.
- Keep assigned warehouse areas, weld lines, and material storage locations clean, organized, and free of debris.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures while maintaining a safe work environment.
- Work closely with warehouse and production teams to ensure uninterrupted material flow.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Previous forklift experience required.
- Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred.
- Basic math skills for counting and verifying inventory.
- Ability to read work orders and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, push, and pull throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- Ability to work in a non-temperature-controlled manufacturing environment.
- Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment for extended periods.
