Systems Engineer, Electrical Engineering
Provide management and oversight of valve maintenance activities for shutdowns, turnarounds and outages. Serve as the interface between the customer and our internal departments for both shop and field engagements. Activities include compiling bid packages, performing work scope evaluations, pre-outage preparations, budget, schedules, resource loading, managing communication and status updates to the customer, execution of work activities and continuous improvement.
This job is demanding in terms of knowledge, skills, commitment, and all other job-related qualifications. Urgency and pressure for prompt, accurate results are routine. It requires the handling of multiple tasks with many unexpected interruptions. The job calls for the responsiveness and energy to work long hours and cover a wide scope without letting up on the pace. The candidate must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently at various locations throughout our territory.
Regular and predictable attendance is essential for this position.
Observe and ensure compliance with procedures and policies.
Communicate technical information, concepts, and ideas verbally and in writing.
Assess conditions and make calculated decisions under pressure and time constraints
Perform field observations of personnel to reinforce standards and expectations and identify gaps in performance.
Perform pre-outage walkdowns and risk assessments
Ensure milestones are met as defined in the project plan
Maintain a continuous improvement mindset; participate in pre-outage challenge meetings and post-outage critiques
Manage execution of outage scope including budget, schedule, resources, and status updates.
Assume responsibility for related duties as required or special projects as assigned
Available to travel out of town for multiple weeks in a row, and occasionally work 12-hr shifts for up to 13 days in a row.

Qualifications / Requirements EducationB.S. Degree in Engineering or related technical degree may be credited for up to 4 years of experience or equivalent work experience
Experience- Minimum 6 years’ commercial or military work experience related to industrial plant operations and maintenance. Examples:
Maintenance planner/scheduler/coordinator, Operator, E&I Technician, etc. - Minimum 2 years’ experience in a leadership role.
- Proficiency in outage planning and scheduling.
- Knowledge of startup and shutdown sequences
- Technical understanding of process control equipment and its applications (valves, actuators, instrumentation, etc.)
- Skilled at reading and interpreting Electrical Schematics and P&’s
- Proficiency in Office
365 apps:
Microsoft Excel, Teams, and One Drive - Preferred Software
Experience:
SAP, Maximo, Primavera P6, Microsoft Project
