Position Summary
TheQA/QCSpecialistisresponsibleforsupportingtheimplementationandexecutionoftheproject'sQuality Assurance and Quality Control program .Thispositionensuresthatallelectricalandinstrumentationinstallationsarecompletedinaccordancewithprojectspecifications,engineering drawings,applicable codes,client requirements,andBayou Electrical Services 'quality standards.
TheQA/QCSpecialistworkscloselywithfieldsupervision,project management,clients,andinspectorstoverifyqualitythroughoutallphasesofconstructionwhilemaintainingaccuratedocumentationandfacilitatinginspections.
Essential Duties&Responsibilities- Performfieldqualityinspectionsonelectricalandinstrumentationinstallations.
- Verifyinstallationscomplywithprojectdrawings,specifications,IFCdocuments,andapplicablecodes.
- Conductroutineinspectionsof:
- Cabletrayinstallation
- Conduitsystems
- Cablepulling
- Instrumenttubing
- Instrumentinstallation
- Junctionboxes
- Control panels
- Electricalequipment
- Groundingsystems
- Supportsandmounting
- Monitorworkmanshiptoensurecompliancewithcompanyandclientqualitystandards.
- Assistwithdevelopingandmaintaining Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
- Coordinaterequiredclientinspectionsandwitnesspoints.
- Prepareinspectionreportsandmaintaindailyqualitydocumentation.
- Trackdeficienciesandmaintainpunchlists.
- Verifycorrectiveactionshavebeencompletedpriortoclosingpunchitems.
- Maintainqualityturnoverdocumentationforprojectcloseout.
- Reviewred-linedrawingsandverifyfieldchangesareproperlydocumented.
- Coordinatewithengineering,project management,constructionsupervision,andclientrepresentativesregardingqualityissues.
- Participateinprojectwalkdownsandmechanicalcompletionactivities.
- Maintaindocumentcontrolforqualityrecords.
- Supportauditsconductedbyclientsorthird-partyinspectors.
- Assistindevelopinglessonslearnedandcontinuousimprovementinitiatives.
- Promoteacultureofqualityandaccountabilitythroughouttheproject.
- Performotherdutiesasassigned.

- Minimum5yearsofindustrialelectricalandinstrumentationconstructionexperience.
- Minimum2yearsofQA/QCexperiencepreferred.
- Strongunderstandingofindustrialelectricalandinstrumentationinstallationpractices.
- Abilitytoreadandinterpret:
- Electrical drawings
- Instrumentloopdrawings
- P&IDs
- One-line diagrams
- Wiringdiagrams
- Controlschematics
- Specifications
- WorkingknowledgeofNEC,NFPA
70,andapplicableindustrystandards. - Strongorganizationalanddocumentationskills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite .
- Abilitytocommunicateeffectivelywithclients,inspectors,andprojectteams.
- Previousexperienceonrefinery,petrochemical,pipeline,LNG,midstream,orcompressorstationprojects.
- Experiencewithqualitymanagementsystems.
- Familiaritywithclientturnoverrequirements.
- Experience using Bluebeam,Procore,orsimilarconstructionsoftware.
- OSHA

TheQA/QCSpecialistwillregularlyinteractwithprojectmanagement,fieldsupervision,client representatives,andthird-partyinspectors.
