As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, help to deter security-related incidents, and support a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, manage access points, and interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service.

This position requires a valid driver's license, as driving responsibilities are part of the role.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Monitor and control access points to help to deter unauthorized entry into the chemical and petrochemical location.

+ Verify identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises in accordance with site-specific policies and procedures.

+ Assist with visitor management, including logging and badging, to support security-related protocols.

+ Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter security-related risks, noting any irregularities or hazards.

+ Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by answering questions and offering directions as needed.

+ Maintain accurate and detailed records of all access control activities, incidents, and patrols as required by Allied Universal and client guidelines.

* Minimum Requirements:

* + A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.

+ Applicants must have 1 or more years of law enforcement experience or 2 or more years of security supervisor or manager experience or 3 or more years of security-related experience.

+ Applicants with access control or badge experience are preferred.

+ Applicants who are comfortable using a computer or tablet are preferred.

+ At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
