As a Security Officer Access Control Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to employees, contractors, drivers, and visitors by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.

* Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, process visitor and contractor check-in activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted and controlled areas.

* Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts regarding security-related concerns and/or unusual activity.

* Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, gates, and assigned access points, with working environments and conditions that may vary throughout the location.

* Document access activity, maintain accurate logs and reports, and support vehicle inspections and delivery screening in accordance with site-specific security-related procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

* A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.

* Possess 1+ years of law enforcement experience or 2+ years of supervisor/manager experience in a security-related role or 3+ years of security-related experience.

* Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.

* Customer service experience is preferred.

* Be able to lift up to 20 lbs, preferred.

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
