Local Delivery Driver (Class A w/Hazmat)
Location: Sulphur, LA – 2210 Swisco Rd – Retail shop
Benefits- Pay: $26 per hour

- Cylinder Handling: Safely load, deliver, and unload cylinders containing compressed gases to customer locations.
- Record Keeping: Accurately record deliveries and pick‑ups on a load manifest, obtain customer signatures, and return empty or rejected cylinders to a plant or branch for refilling.
- Safety and Compliance: Adhere to Airgas safety standards (SAFECOR) and government regulations, including DOT, EPA, FMCSA, FDA, and OSHA.
- Warehouse Support: Provide assistance in the warehouse or dock as needed.
- Valid LA Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Valid Medical Examiner’s Card
- Hazmat & Airbrake Certifications
- At least one year of Class A or B professional driving experience within the last five years and a clean driving record (no more than two convictions, or two at‑fault accidents in the last three years, or one conviction and one at‑fault accident in the last three years)
- Alternative:
Diploma from an accredited driving school and a minimum of one year of prior driving experience within the last five years - Minimum age 21 years or older
- Ability to read and comprehend material safety data sheets
- Ability to routinely lift 25‑75 lbs. and occasionally lift 76 to greater than 125 lbs. with aid of material handling equipment
- Must be able to drive hazardous cargo for up to 8 hours; frequent bending required
- Availability to work occasional overtime as necessary
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary safety credentials for customer site access
- Proficiency in operating heavy machinery (Forklift/Moffett)
- Comfort with electronic logging and handheld delivery technology
- Fluent bilingual in Spanish (speaking, writing, and reading)
