Sr. Accountant

Description We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Summerville, South Carolina. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting expert who excels in managing financial processes and ensuring accuracy in reporting. As a key contributor, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems.

Responsibilities:

- Manage month-end close procedures, ensuring all financial data is accurately reported and deadlines are met.

- Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly.

- Prepare and post journal entries while ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

- Perform detailed account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial records.

- Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.

- Collaborate with internal teams to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.

- Analyze financial data and provide insights to support decision-making.

- Ensure adherence to accounting policies and regulations.

- Assist in audits and provide necessary documentation to auditors.

- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance financial operations. Requirements

- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or similar role with expertise in month-end close procedures.

- Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entries.

- Proficiency in performing account and bank reconciliations.

- Familiarity with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

- Advanced skills in financial analysis and reporting.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
